Hande Erçel is a Turkish actress, born on November 24, 1993, in Bandırma, Balıkesir, Turkey. Known for her beauty, energy, and strong acting performances, she has become one of the most popular and admired names in recent years.
Erçel spent her childhood in Bandırma and studied at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Traditional Turkish Arts, where she received an art-focused education. Before starting her acting career, she participated in a beauty pageant held in Azerbaijan in 2012 and won second place, which marked her first step into the entertainment industry.
Her breakthrough role came in 2015–2016 with the TV series “Güneşin Kızları” (Sunshine Girls), where she portrayed Selin Yılmaz Mertoğlu. The series quickly gained her a large fan base.
In 2016–2017, she continued her success with the Show TV series “Aşk Laftan Anlamaz” (Love Doesn’t Understand Words), where she played Hayat Uzun. Her performance was highly praised and earned her the Golden Butterfly Award for Best Comedy Actress.
In 2019, Hande expanded her career by taking on diverse roles. She appeared in TRT 1’s “Halka” as Müjde Akay, and later in Kanal D’s “Azize” as Azize Aksu Günay.

Most recently, she starred in “Bambaşka Biri” (Another Love) on FOX TV (2023–2024) as Leyla Gediz, a role that once again earned her critical acclaim. The show concluded with its 16th episode.
Hande Erçel is the daughter of Kaya Erçel and Aylin Erçel, and the sister of fellow actress Gamze Erçel. She lost her mother, Aylin Erçel, to cancer on January 10, 2019, a deeply emotional period in her life.
